Leather terms and categories: What types of leather are there?

Not all leather is the same! There are many different terms and ways to describe and categorize leather. As this can sometimes be quite confusing, we want to shed some light on the leather jungle.

In this video, we'll explain how to categorize and classify leather - we'll do a big round-up of all the categorization methods and explain lots of interesting details about the production of leather and different tanning processes. You'll also learn all about key leather terms such as cowhide, suede, suede, full-grain leather, split leather, recycled leather and vegan leather, as well as the different finishes such as glossy finish, dollar print, embossing and pigmentation.
