This metal hammer with a narrow and a flat rounded tip is suitable for flattening the saddle seam after sewing. This means that the seam is less raised and less likely to wear, especially in places that are subject to a lot of friction (e.g. card case). The narrow side also allows you to reach tighter places, such as a zipper.

The rounded side is also suitable for flattening and smoothing out marks in the leather, such as creases or marks caused by staples.
