Round awl wood

With the wooden round awl, you can pierce holes in your leather or widen existing holes. In contrast to the ergonomic awl from Prym, the tip is not as tapered so that the holes are evenly sized (2 mm), even if the awl is inserted deeper into the leather.

This is super practical for pre-piercing the holes for sewing by hand for your own small leather projects or for slightly enlarging existing holes in harder leathers to make sewing with the saddler's seam easier.

It is best to use a cork block at least 2 cm thick (e.g. a trivet) or soft wood as a base.
