Slotting tool 4mm or 10mm

 With these stainless steel slitting irons, you can punch slits with accurate dimensions in your leather. 
This is particularly useful if you are unsure about cutting short lines with the cutter knife and want to make sure you don't cut beyond the desired distance. Slitting irons are often used to make slits for attaching various clasps. They are also suitable for cutting accurate rectangles out of a piece of leather. 

Use a rubber mallet and an old cutting mat or a soft plastic board as a base for cutting the slots. 

Note: Slight rust stains may occur on this tool (especially the 4mm slotting tool) due to the steel used and the way it is manufactured. To avoid rust stains on your slotting tools, protect them from moisture. You can remove existing rust stains with a little vinegar and salt or a sanding sponge.
