Process exchange flap with press studs

Process exchange flap with press studs

Our bags with swap flaps are your absolute community favorites. No matter if Saddle Bag, crossbody, or our latest Timeless Mini, you love the bags both because of their size and because you can style and individualize them again and again with different flaps.

However, many of you have been asking for an even easier and quicker way to swap the flaps of your favorite bags. We've spent a long time tinkering and testing and here it is at last, the press stud solution for your bag bodies and interchangeable flaps! 🥳

In our video tutorial we show you the different ways you can convert your already made bags to the snap button solution 😉

You will need the following materials

So far, we have been a little reluctant to use the press stud solution, as it poses a few challenges: the press studs can only be processed successfully with pliers or a press - and that is what our concept is supposed to be. This is why the tools from Prym are particularly suitable, but unfortunately the Prym press studs do not match the color of our metal parts 100%. It is also sometimes a little difficult to attach the press studs to thicker leather. But we have found some solutions here!

In our video tutorial we show you how to attach the press studs with the Vario pliers or the Vario Creative Tool from Prym

We use the Prym anorak press stud s with a diameter of 12 mm. If you have never used these press studs before, you will also need the tool inserts, which are included in the press stud starter set. If you already have the tool inserts, you only need the refill set. All items are now available in our store!

You will also need a hole punch or a 5 mm hole punch insert for your Prym tool.

And then you're ready to go! We hope you have lots of fun working the press studs and changing your swap flaps 🤗

Learn how in our video tutorial:
  • what materials you need
  • how to attach the press studs to the bag body, both on an unfinished and an already finished bag
  • like you attach the press studs to the pocket flap, both on an unfinished and on an already finished flap > there are even two different options here!

Have fun looking at and converting your bags, and of course above all changing flaps and carrying bags! 🫶🏼
